Woah, we’re almost done with this quarter. I’m exhausted
with all the midterms & projects so I feel like I’m not enjoying going to
classes as I did before. But just 2 more weeks of pain in the butt and I’ll be
done. We are now done with WP3! YASSSSS..then here comes portfolio and presentation!
Yassss……I think I did okay on self analysis paper but I feel like I could have
done better if I put more time into making magazine survey page for the adult
genre. I wish I knew how to make magazine surveys fancier! I struggled fo’real
until a day before the due date but I was able to figure out what the prompt
wants me to write about, thank God! This class is interesting but really do
require substantial amount of work since I’m not perfect in English. This week
in class, we just went over with how to write a good reflection paper for the
portfolio. The important point I need to keep in mind while writing
self-reflection essay is to follow the prompt. I think if you stick to the
prompt, you won’t be way off from what the instructor wants to see in a paper.
I’m not really confused with anything for the portfolio thingy but I just need
to set my mind to really sit down and do what I’m told to do. At this point, I feel
like giving up but I know I won’t. I got a goal to achieve.
Hansol, hang in there! I read your paper during the peer reviews and I really, honestly enjoyed it! I thought that your genre conventions were interesting, especially the magazine survey page. I guarantee you no one else thought of that. You pushed yourself in writing that paper by exploring genres that we see everyday, but forget to categorize it as a genre. There are definitely so many topics to talk about in the self-reflection paper for the portfolio, so as long as you keep in mind what Zach is asking from you to cover in the paper, you should do a great job! Just hang in there, we are almost done with the quarter!!
